Amazon has revealed its new online music streaming service called cloud player, which users can upload their songs and play them from a range of different devices. Cloud Player has already been released in the States and gives Amazon account holders 5GB of storage space for free, although more storage can be purchased for just over $1 per GB.

Songs uploaded onto the cloud player can be accessed through Palm, Blackberry and Android devices, but there is no support for Apple devices.

Bill Car, Amazon’s vice president for music and movies said, “Our customers have told us they don’t want to download music to their work computers or phones because they find it hard to move music around to different devices.”

Apple and Google are expected to release their own cloud music services over the coming months, so time will tell on how popular Amazon’s cloud player will become.

Karen Jackson from Roberts Jackson solicitors said, “If no one knows about the risks involved, they won’t sue, but more and more people are becoming aware of health hazards in the workplace.” Adding that, “A lot of people displaying symptoms associated with repetitive strain injury do not realise they are work-related, but the number with symptoms is increasing.”

Cumbrian butchers and traders were rejoining this week as the Cumberland sausage was given protected status meaning that they can only be produced in Cumbria. The popular sausage joins Cornish clotted cream and Stilton cheese on the UK protected list and ranks alongside Greek feta cheese, Parma ham and Champagne which all have Protected Geographical Indication or PGI in the EU.

To display the PGI mark and be named a Cumberland sausage these sausages must be prepared, processed and produced in Cumbria, have a meat content of no less than 80% and be sold in a traditional coiled shape.

Spokesman for the Cumberland Sausage Association Peter Gott said, “This is a great milestone for the county and a well deserved place in England’s food history for a truly sensational, diverse food product.”

Mexican Businessman Beats Water Ski Speed Record

Posted by infozone On March - 8 - 2011

A Mexican businessman has shattered the world record for fastest barefoot water skiing. The record stood at 135mph before Fernando Reina Iglesias broke it by 18mph, posting a new world record of 153mph on his second attempt.

The first attempt had to be cut short after the helicopter that was towing him was a fraction too high, meaning that Mr Reina feet came out of the water, but his second attempt was good and collaborated by public notary Manlio Favio Pano; it has also been recognised by the Guinness Book of World Records.

Mr Reina dedicated his record to his home town of Acapulco.

A woman caused more than £400 worth of damage to a cake shop after she found out that they didn’t have her favourite flavour cupcake. Police are appealing for witnesses to help find the customer, who broke several glass display cases and threw cakes at members of staff and other customers at the Sugarwirlz cake shop in Cardiff.

Police have confirmed that the woman had strawberry-blonde hair, is aged between 35 and 45 and is about 5ft 3in tall; it is thought that she was accompanied by two young children. The cake shop owner Sally Dodd talked about the attack saying, “The woman went absolutely ballistic when she was told we didn’t have the cupcake flavour she wanted – it is called the “sweet tooth” fairy cake and is very popular”.

She went on to say, “She didn’t even wait for us to tell her that if she waited we could bake some fresh cupcakes for her… You expect a certain amount of risk running a bar or pub, but not in a cupcake shop”.
